Monument in the Trees

When I finished up at the zoo, I hopped on the Metro and went to the Smithsonian station. From there, I embarked on a long walk through Potomac Park. I wanted to go to the top of the Washington Monument--something I've never done--but the line was too long, and was not moving quickly. So, feelilng the need to walk, I started walking away from the Washington Monument. This picture was taken from about midway along the walk to the Jefferson Memorial.
