Sturgeon Bay
Potawatomi State Park, November 7:
After a morning of running errands in the greater Madison area, I made it to Door County
at about 1:30 on Friday, November 7. My first stop was Potawatomi State Park. My last visit
was in May 2002 as part of my Manitowoc vacation, and that time all I had time for was a quick
stop to take a picture from the top of the observation tower. On this visit, however, I was
able to hike about eight miles along the shore and through the woods, and enjoy a spectacular
end of the day. This is a picture from the Ice Age Trail, with the waters of Sturgeon Bay in
the foreground and Green Bay in the far background.
