Lincoln Memorial

Sunday, February 29: The Lincoln Memorial is always rather crowded, as it is one of the most recognizable buildings in Washington--after all, it's on the back of the penny. The site of countless demonstrations and marches, the view from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial includes the Reflecting Pool, the Washington Monument, and the Capitol, which is nearly two miles away.
