Minerva

Wednesday, March 3: A banner in front of the Library of Congress noting an exhibit on the life of Winston Churchill drew me into the building, and I spent a couple of hours poking around the Library, including taking one of the public guided tours. This is a fresco of Minerva, which is located on the stairs to the gallery overlooking the main reading room in the Thomas Jefferson building of the Library of Congress.

wisdom

The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased and not impaired in value.
