Roosevelt

February 27, 2005: Following my events on Saturday, I took Sunday afternoon to do a little bit of hiking on Roosevelt Island, located in the middle of the Potomac. It's an interesting place because the sounds of the city are all around, and depending on which direction you look, you'll either see the city or a completely natural environment. Shown here is the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial, which is located on the island near the footbridge that connects the island to the Rosslyn area of Arlington, Virginia.
