Science in the Desert

Monday, September 26, 2005: Even though I didn't get to the telescope until after 4:00 pm, and the gift shop was closed, there was a self-guided tour available. Basically it felt like I had the whole place to myself, even though I'm sure there were astronomers around somewhere. I took this picture from the stairway that leads to the observation deck of the array.
