Lonely Trail

Tuesday, September 27, 2005: There is a four-mile trail called Alkali Flats that leads to a dry lake bed. I didn't do the entire trail because it was late in the day and I was alone, but at my turnaround point I took this picture of a plant on a pedestal in the distance. Barely visible at this resolution is an orange marker that serves as a signpost for the trail.
