Sunset at the Pedestal

Tuesday, September 27, 2005: The sun set at about 6:50 this evening, and provided a lot of color over the eerily white dune landscape. This is the pedestal that was the home of the tarantula, and probably dozens of other animals. It's probably about 30 feet off the interdune flats and lives in its own bowl surrounded by other dunes.
