Potomac River

Tuesday, March 4, 2008: The Chain Bridge was my turnaround point to head back to Rosslyn, about 4 miles downstream from the bridge. This view from the bridge shows the rugged areas of the Potomac to the north of the city. To get back to Rosslyn, I hiked along the C&O Canal, which parallels the river and has a nice, flat, easy tow path that was remarkaby well-used for a Tuesday afternoon.
