Maplewood Trails

Maplewood State Park, near Pelican Falls, Minnesota; Sunday, July 19, 2009:  I'm not entirely sure why I chose Maplewood State Park to visit on my drive from the Twin Cities to Fargo, but I think the combination of lakes, open spaces, and wooded hills was what drew me. In a lot of ways it was like hiking back home in Wisconsin. This is a photo of a trail near Lake Lida, which is the main lake in the northwest part of the park.
