Hot in the Badlands

Badlands National Park; Friday, July 24, 2009:  This is me, at the eastern junction of the Medicine Root Trail and the Castle Trail. I had just had a quick lunch, and I was on the lookout for rattlesnakes. My chin strap was down on my hat because it was very windy outside.
