Cape Fear

Bald Head Island, North Carolina; Thursday, April 29, 2010:  One thing that struck me was how big the island actually was. Because the day was getting hot, and I was wearing clothes for a 60 degree day instead of an 80 degree day, I decided to rent a golf cart and tour the island. I went back to the southernmost tip of the island, which is also the southernmost point in North Carolina, and the place where a slowly shifting tail of sand streaks out into the Atlantic.
