Charles Pinckney Site

Charles Pinckney National Historic Site, South Carolina; Friday, April 30, 2010:  Friday was my last full day in South Carolina, and on the way to Charleston I stopped in Mount Pleasant at the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. Pinckney was one of the original drafters of the Constitution, and the site is a remnant of the plantation he once owned. This is the approach to the farmhouse on the site, which is not original to the Pinckney years.
