Chequamegon Bay

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest; Friday, October 15, 2010:  This is a view looking mostly northward from St. Peter's Dome. The water in the picture is Chequamegon Bay on Lake Superior. It was a somewhat cloudy day while I was out hiking, although thankfully it didn't rain. The trail was a little bit muddy as it was, and the granite can get a little bit slippery.
