WTC Site
Manhattan, New York, New York; January 25, 2011:
One of the last stops on our bus trip--and my last photo from this trip--was at the site where the Twin Towers
of the World Trade Center once stood. Although the events of September 11 happened nearly 10 years ago, there's
still a sense of quiet around this busy construction site. On the far left of this shot, the new Tower 1 (the
Freedom Tower) is rising. Much of the activity in the center is related to the building of the 9/11 memorial.
The steeple toward the center right of the frame is St. Paul's Chapel, which escaped the collapse of the towers
undamaged.
