American Century

Duluth, MN; May 8, 2012:  Seeing rain in the forecast, I decided to spend Tuesday in the Twin Ports area of Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin. My first stop was at the Dubh Linn Irish Brewpub in downtown Duluth, and then I headed over to Canal Park. My timing was pretty good because shortly after I arrived, the Aerial Lift Bridge was raised and the American Century, a 1000-foot bulk carrier (according to the announcement, loaded with western coal), passed through the canal to Lake Superior.
