South Shore

Tempted though I was to follow the railroad tracks back to the north shore, I decided to do things the hard way. This is a picture taken from the Balanced Rock Trail, looking down at the south shore picnic and beach area. The railroad tracks can be seen below. This is a fairly difficult trail, which is really just a bunch of rocks cemented together that goes up the face of the cliff.
