At the Races

Louisville, KY; May 22, 2011:  This is the end of a race on the dirt track at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Derby was a couple of weeks before I visited, but the track has races throughout the year and I was fortunate enough to be there during a period where they had races. For only a couple of bucks, you can spend a day at the races, and for several dollars more you can sip mint juleps while watching the competition. And if you want to gamble, that is of course an option.
