Wisconsin River

One of the great things about Wyalusing State Park is that there are trails everywhere. I parked in a parking lot near the observatory, and then walked downhill toward the Wisconsin River. I encountered only a park worker along the way--most people congregate on the cliffs overlooking the Wisconsin River and Mississippi River. When you get next to the river in the summer, you have to watch out for mosquitoes, which in typical Wisconsin fashion can be pretty vicious. This is a view of the Wisconsin River looking downriver--not too far from this point, the Wisconsin empties into the Mighty Mississippi.
