Toward New Glarus

New Glarus Woods State Park is on a hill overlooking New Glarus, which is somewhat visible in this picture. New Glarus is kind of a funky little town that has a great deal of Swiss heritage. There is also a spur from the Sugar River State Trail that leads from the village to New Glarus Woods State Park.
