Spring Runoff

Because Blue Mound is rock with a thin layer of topsoil, and we had 100 inches of snow in the winter, the snowmelt doesn't soak into the ground--it makes several small rivulets that course down the mound. The babbling spring brooks and warm air temperature made for a really decent afternoon hike.
