Ice Breakup

Hiking at Lake Kegonsa offers a lot of different views of the lake, and of the area in general. After slogging through the mud on the White Oak Nature Trail, I hiked along the Prairie Trail and eventually found my way to the upper picnic area, where I took this picture from a hill overlooking the lake. The ice was retreating--and I've got to say, that made me happy.
