Because of a lengthy drought, many of the trees and plants in southwestern Wisconsin and northeastern
Iowa were very stressed. Beyond the stressed-out trees, you can see the islands in the middle of the
Mississippi River.
This site was originally designed in 1996 using Adobe PageMill.
The current incarnation is a back-to-basics type of site, making extensive
use of server-side includes to create page geometries and interactive
elements.
