Fishing Bear

Sault Ste. Marie ON, May 22: Our Thursday afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, was spent mostly near the lower St. Mary's River, which has a very nice boardwalk and a pavilion and park named for Canadian astronaut Roberta Bondar. Many cities have interesting public artwork, and Sault Ste. Marie had several figures of moose, fish, and bears lining the boardwalk. Here Michael makes friends with one of the bears, who is holding a fishing pole while his bear-friends look on.
