National Gallery

Washington, DC; March 8, 2011:  One of the more contemplative things to do when near the Capitol is to visit the National Gallery. This year, there were two exhibits in the East Gallery that I checked out--one on the paintings of Canaletto and his contemporaries, and the other an exhibit on the works of Gaugin. On March 8, I checked out the Gaugin, and also looked into the West Gallery, which contains more paintings and artwork from around the world.
