Fighting the Tide

September 15, 2007; Deception Pass State Park, Washington: The water can flow pretty quickly as the tides change, and this sailboat was using its motor to power past the inflow of water in Deception Pass. I took this picture while standing on the small Pass Island between Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island.
