Mountain Lake

September 19, 2007; Moran State Park, Orcas Island, Washington: There are several lakes within Moran State Park, and this is the northern end of Mountain Lake. My hike got a little bit intense when I came off the mountain. My GPS reads weren't very accurate because of the steep cliffs and tall trees. I took a rather long route back to my car, and wound up hiking more than 12 miles. After a while I stopped focusing on photography and started focusing on getting back to my car--I didn't want to miss the 7:05 ferry back to Anacortes.
