Meteor Crater

Meteor Crater, Arizona; November 28, 2011:  Though I had visited Meteor Crater in the 1990s, I wanted to check it out again to see what had changed. Well, the crater is still there, but the museum seems to have undergone an upgrade, and like most privately-owned natural landmarks there is more of a focus on science and history rather than the "gosh, gee" elements. This is a picture from the observation deck looking down into the crater. You don't really know how large it is until you're standing next to it.
