Sunset Crater

Sunset Crater National Monument; November 29, 2011:  I became rather familiar with I-17 between Phoenix and Flagstaff during my stay, and on November 29 I decided to go someplace I'd never been before--Sunset Crater National Monument, located just outside of Flag. People used to hike up this cinder cone long ago, but now the only cone available for hiking is Lenox Crater, which is the ascent I performed.
