In France

Pic Paradis, Saint Martin; October 25, 2011:  After making a stop back at the ship to drop off my purchases from Philipsburg, I took the water taxi back to its first stop in search of more to do. Originally I had planned to just sit at a beachside bar and enjoy the scenery, but kind of on the spur of the moment, and feeling like I was taking a risk, I engaged the services of a not-quite-legitimate taxi driver to take me around the island to see the sights. The first stop was a trip up Pic Paradis, a mountain on the French side of the island. It was interesting because there really wasn't any "tourist" stuff up there; just the end of someone's private driveway and a France Telecom repeater station. At least I can knock that off my bucket list...
