Grand Case and Crab Backs

Grand Case, Saint Martin; October 25, 2011:  One of the local delicacies on the island is something called crab backs, which are really just stuffed crab shells with lots of seasoning. My driver wanted me to try them, so not surprisingly I ended up buying some food for both of us. We also stopped at a local store to pick up more Carib beer, one of the staples of the Caribbean. At least there I got to use a little bit of my high-school French. It was the last stop on my brief tour of the island, which cost me a bit more than $150.00 (US) but was certainly one of those experiences that was worth having.
