Frozen Beach

Peninsula State Park; April 20, 2013:  My last day of spring hiking happened at Peninsula State Park, near Fish Creek in Door County. Many of the trails were ice-covered (from cross-country skiing) and some of the roads were still closed for the winter. I managed to experience everything from deep snow to slick ice to dry pavement, and I took this picture of one of the beach areas in the park from one of the closed roads.
