Fitzgerald Bell

Whitefish Point, May 24: In 1995, an expedition to the site of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was launched to remove the original bell, shown here, and replace it with a bell engraved with the names of the sailors who died. The Shipwreck Museum is the home of this memorial to the crew, who died in a sudden storm in 1975. More information about the museum is available on their website.
