Tahquamenon Falls

Tahquamenon Falls State Park, May 24: Tahquamenon Falls is the inspiration for Longfellow's poem "The Song of Hiawatha," and is a brown-colored waterfall that drops 50 feet and is 200 feet wide. There are very easy, paved paths and decks for viewing the upper falls, shown here. At the parking lot for the upper falls, there is also the Tahquamenon Falls Pub and Brewery, a brewpub located within the state park and serving a wide variety of beer and food.
