Au Sable Point, May 24: Following a 1.5-mile walk (and a long drive on sand
roads to get to the parking area), Lisa and I arrived at the Au Sable Lighthouse. The light
was first lit in 1874, and had an on-site lightkeeper until 1958.
This site was originally designed in 1996 using Adobe PageMill.
The current incarnation is a back-to-basics type of site, making extensive
use of server-side includes to create page geometries and interactive
elements.
