Midsummer Table

Stockholm; Friday, June 23, 2006: I took this picture of a pond and the surrounding woods at 10:07 on Midsummer Friday. It never got extremely dark, with only the brightest planets becoming visible in the night sky. I was drinking schnapps with the neighbors until nearly 4 AM and enjoying several regional dishes. I was very honored that the conversation switched from Swedish to English when I was around, and I was made to feel very welcome in the neighborhood.
