Higher Ground

Near Mercer, Wisconsin; July 8, 2013:  When I reached higher ground (and sunshine) things got a little better, in terms of being wet from the swamp and chased by bugs. Here are some of the plants in the natural area I was hiking through. I definitely had to do a tick check after this particular hike, and had the pleasure of removing one from my leg.
