Leaving from Rapid City, I had a long day of driving around southwest South Dakota. First stop: Mount Rushmore National Memorial. From there, I continued on to the Crazy Horse Memorial, which is a work in progress. Then, I made a visit to Jewel Cave National Monument, then Wind Cave National Park, and finally to the Badlands National Park. Unfortunately I didn't visit any of the caves due to time considerations, but that's on my list of things to do next time I'm in the area. I settled in to sleep in tiny Murdo, South Dakota.
