Pinnacles Overlook

Badlands National Park: In the mid-afternoon sun of July 26, I took this picture from the Pinnacles Overlook, located in Badlands National Park. While the paved road runs from Wall, South Dakota, to Cactus Flat, South Dakota, the park is much larger. I stuck to the paved roads, and this was my first glimpse of the park--and it was definitely an impressive first look.
