Shirakawa-go

Shirakawa-go; Wednesday, June 14, 2006: Located in Gifu Prefecture, about an hour's bus ride from Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go contains a UNESCO World Heritage Site, designated for the unique style of architecture in many of the buildings. After getting off the bus, this is the view we were treated to--a mountain river (the Shokawa) and lots of bright, blue sky.
