In the Shade

July 24, 2007; Apostle Islands National Lakeshore: Here is a view from inside one of the sea caves. We actually had a perfect day for kayaking, with relatively calm waters and warm (truthfully hot) air temperatures. Unfortunately, this was close to the last picture I took. My camera took a little trip of its own in Lake Superior, and though it floated in a small plastic bag for a while, the electronics got wet and the camera stopped working. Obviously the SD card was okay, and Lake Superior is a fresh water body so there may yet be hope for my Canon PowerShot SD450 once it dries out.
