Dwarf Palmetto
Congaree National Park; Tuesday, April 27, 2010: As I was walking along the high boardwalk trail, I was surprised to see these small, ground-hugging Palmetto trees. Turns out they're dwarf palmettos, and won't grow any higher than this.
