Astronomer Wannabe

Monday, September 26, 2005: This is me, with the wind blowing my hair around, standing in front of one of the telescopes. While they don't look too big from a distance, these radio telescopes are huge, with dishes that are 25 meters in diameter. There was a time when I was much younger that I was actually pretty into astronomy, so visiting the VLA was a great treat for me, well worth the drive.
