Big Bonito Trail

Thursday, September 29, 2005: On my last full day in New Mexico, I decided to go for another hike in the White Mountain Wilderness Area in the Lincoln National Forest. There was some rain overnight and occasional rain showers during the day, and I did get a little damp. I didn't seek shelter in this cave, though--it's bear country. In fact I did run into a bear about a half-mile further along the trail. I left him alone, and he left me alone.
