Japan 1998

When I was in college, I made a deal with a friend that, if he moved to Japan to live and work, I would make the journey to visit him. He moved, and I fulfilled my end of the deal from August 8 to 22, 1998. We traveled from his home of Ogoe to Tokyo to Hiroshima and back again, stopping along the way to take in the sights and culture. This was a fascinating trip, as I speak no Japanese...but after two weeks, I was starting to recognize both spoken and written words. Take a journey in pictures to Japan by following the links on this page.
