Can I take a picture with you?

One of the school projects during the sumer for many young Japanese is to find a foreigner and go through a short dialogue to practice English. In her best grade-school English, this girl asked very politely if she could "take a picture" with me, and followed with the requisite "Where are you from?" and "Oh, I like America!" While I was in Japan, I had my picture taken in such a manner about four or five times.
