At one of the entrances to the Toshogu shrine in Nikko was
this large torii. It was quite wet that day, with a great deal
of humidity, but you can see that there were plenty of people
there nonetheless.
This site was originally designed in 1996 using Adobe PageMill.
The current incarnation is a back-to-basics type of site, making extensive
use of server-side includes to create page geometries and interactive
elements.
